I love architecture, and although I lack sense of humor, I like when I see serious matters treated in a whimsical style. As some of you know, i am not the biggest fan of Toronto, or of Cdn. architecture for that matter. I definitely agree that lattitude and whimsical attitide are a blessing but OCAD (as this building is usually called) is pretty ugly and looks like a pencil stand. It also seems pretty terrifying to climb up there: it doesn't look too safe from below.
But there's a nice park right below it, and it's half way between U of T campus and Queen st (which is probably the only worthwhile street in that boring town)
well, it's a masterpiece, if you compare it to "The great Golden Turd of Tokyo" by Philippe Starck- if u've never seen the creation, would advice to google it. it's a gold shit on top of a building. and in real life, it's even worse.
